  • The quintessential electropop band of the 1980s Depeche Mode return with “Where’s the Revolution” from their upcoming album Spirit, due out 3/17
  • Cold War Kids killed it with their last single “First” but this new one “Love Is Mystical” might trump it
  • 80s sweethearts Blondie are also back with fun new single “Fun

Song of the Week

New Mastodon single “Show Yourself” triumphs this week. This song pairs well with “The Motherload” from previous album Once More ‘Round the Sun and it will surely be a big hit for the band, check out the series of odd but very funny teaser videos for the new album on their Youtube Channel

You’re not as safe as far as I can tell
And I can tell
Only you can save yourself
Soon this will all be a distant memory
Or could this dream be real at all?

New Album Releases

Not much in the form of album releases this week EXCEPT for the awesome new EP release by Less Than Jake. Listen in the Spotify player below and download your copy of the EP on Amazon.

New Live Videos

Raise your hand if you love watching bands perform their new singles on late night shows or other similar platforms. OK, if you raised your hand be sure to follow this feature week to week. Most late night shows only post live performances to their own websites. For those, I will post text links below. Awesome live performances posted to Youtube will be included in the playlist below.
