“Never Let Me Go” by Florence and the Machine is the 4th Single from Ceremonials, released on April 2, 2012
Genre: Baroque Pop, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Soul
If you follow my music blog at all, you have probably figured out that I am huge on Florence + the Machine right now. The band’s first two albums Lungs and Ceremonials are both killer from start to finish, although I personally think that Ceremonials is the better and more complete album of the two.
Since Ceremonials is still selling very well, it was only a matter of time before another single was released. After 3rd single “No Light, No Light” was released I started guessing on what would the 4th single would be. Florence hadn’t released a ballad yet so I figured “Never Let Me Go” would be the perfect next single. Turns out I had it right and “Never Let Me Go” will be released as the 4th single from Ceremonials on April 2nd. The official video seen above was released online on March 7, 2012.
“And the arms of the ocean are carrying me
And all this devotion was rushing out of me
And the crashes are heaven for a sinner like me
But the arms of the ocean delivered me”
