Neon Trees ‘Sleeping With A Friend’ – The Song of the Week for 1/13/2014

Released January 11, 2014 via Def Jam Recordings, “Sleeping With A Friend” is the lead single off Pop Psychology, the 3rd studio album by Neon Trees

Genre: Alternative Rock, Electronic Rock, Indie Rock, New Wave

One of the most popular bands in alternative rock music in the last 3-4 years is back with a new album, Pop Psychology, that will drop on April 22, 2014. The band gives us a super catchy lead single in “Sleeping With A Friend” that will surely do very well on the charts, as other Neon Trees singles have such as “Animal”, “Everybody Talks”, and “Lessons In Love (All Day, All Night)”, the latter of which was the Song of the Week back on 10/29/2012.

What are your thoughts on the new single and expectations on the upcoming new studio album? Sound off in the comments section below and definitely tweet me @MusicTrajectory

“All my friends, they’re different people
Anxious like the ocean in a storm
When we go out, yeah, we’re electric
Coursing through our bodies ’til we’re one

And why mess up a good thing, baby?
It’s a risk to even fall in love
So, when you give that look to me
I better look back carefully
‘Cause this is trouble, yeah this is trouble”

  1. Nice looking blog. Respect for covering the indies and undiscovered. I did it for a long time and there is little love but so much good music…

    • Hi Mike, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! You got it right, I wish I could make the blog a full time job and cover as many bands as I can but you know how it is 😉
