Mastodon ‘The Motherload’ – The Song of the Week for 10/13/2014

Released September 29, 2014 via Reprise Records, “The Motherload” is the 3rd single off of One More ‘Round the Sun, the sixth studio album by Mastodon

With yet another fantastic album release in Once More ‘Round The Sun, the band is touring their butts off and releasing singles left and right. The latest and 3rd single off of the album is “The Motherload”, perhaps the ‘catchiest’ song on the album sans lead single “High Road”. The band gets it right with songs sung by drummer Brann Dailer. What do you think of the new material from Mastodon. The consensus seems to be that the band is doing a great job of maintaining the level of musicianship that fans come to expect while continuing to push into the mainstream.
