Daughter turns it up a notch with new single “No Care”

“No Care” was released on July 28th, 2016 via 4AD records as the 4th single off of Not to Disappear, the 2nd studio album by Daughter

I know Daughter is known for their softer, more atmospheric sound but I really like this more up-tempo single “No Care”. In fact, I think this is the best single release from the band since “Youth”.

Should the band go more in this direction or does “No Care” stick out like a sore thumb? Sound off in the comments section below or tweet me @MusicTrajectory

Daughter also scored a Song of the Week nod back in May 2013 with the single “Human”

No one asks me for dances because I only know how to flail
I always hit like I’m drowning, dead arms around him
I’d rather stand still, hold tightly to the walls

No care, no care in the world
No care, no care in the world
I don’t care, I don’t care anymore
I don’t care, I don’t care
