“Blood for Poppies” by Garbage is the lead single from the band’s 5th studio album Not Your Kind of People, set to be released May 14, 2012

“Blood for Poppies” is the first single from Garbage since 2007’s “Tell Me Where It Hurts” from the band’s greatest hits album, Absolute Garbage. Will it be a successful ‘come-back’ single? Time will tell. I for one did not like the song at first but heard it a couple times on the radio and got to liking it quite a bit. It’s a return to some of their earlier work with a very catchy chorus. This is Garbage’s 1st Song of the Week nod.
