Fall Out Boy “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light It Up)” – The Song of the Week for 2/11/2013

Released February 4, 2013 via Island Records, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light It Up)” is the official lead single for Fall Out Boy’s upcoming 6th studio album Save Rock and Roll

Genre: Pop Punk, Alternative Rock, Pop Rock

I actually did not know Fall Out Boy was getting back together but when I first heard the news and subsequently this song, I was not surprised. Their side projects weren’t that successful so why not get back together and make good money again? Can you blame them? So the upcoming album is called Save Rock and Roll. Why am I not surprised Fall Out Boy would make a comeback with an album title like that?

What are your expectations on the new album? Can Fall Out Boy ‘save’ Rock & Roll? In my opinion, Rock & Roll doesn’t need saving 😉

“The writers keep writing what they write
Somewhere another pretty vein just dies
I’ve got the scars from tomorrow and I wish you could see
That you’re the antidote to everything except for me
A constellation of tears on your lashes
Burn everything you love then burn the ashes
In the end everything collides
My childhood spat back out the monster that you see”
